About
James E. Gramkee is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in New York State. He has over 25 years of international financial accounting and business experience. Mr. Gramkee has worked in the public accounting services area and for manufacturing companies.
Jim began his accounting career with Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC) and gained audit management experience across a number of industries. He then spent over 20 years working at Mark IV Industries, Inc. - a NYSE listed company with diverse manufacturing holdings throughout the US and abroad.
While at Mark IV, Jim held various financial positions, eventually becoming the company's Controller. He was involved in various financial transactions including public offerings of stock and debt as well as acquisitions and divestitures. These transactions exposed Jim to a wide range of financial accounting issues. Mark IV's revenues increased from about $100 million to over $2 billion during Mr. Gramkee's tenure at the company.
In 2007, he was appointed the CFO of International Fiber Corporation - a private equity-owned manufacturer of powdered cellulose and other fiber products for use in the food and industrial markets. During his tenure at IFC, Jim completed two acquisitions and refinancings and the sale transaction of IFC to another private equity firm.
In 2014 Jim started Gramkee Financial Consulting to help busy private business owners and executives maximize their companies' value while minimizing their headaches and distractions.
Jim is a member of the AICPA and the New York State Society of CPA's. He also serves on the board of Junior Achievement of Western New York and as a classroom volunteer he has taught several JA financial programs to elementary and high school students.
